OCW Modified Team

The OCW Modified Team is designed to get players introduced to our organization and further develop their skills to prepare them for High School hockey. The players they meet will be the players that will be with them from now until that final game when they are Seniors. By starting early this will allow them to build those lasting connections and on ice chemistry that will foster the team bond and pride in playing for the OCW Warhawks.

Ages

What aged players are appropriate for this program?

The OCW Modified Team is for players that are enrolled in 6th, 7th and 8th grades, aka "Middle School", within the traditional OCW territory.

When

What time of the year does this program run?

The Modified Team will run from October through February with registration and tryouts in September.

Where

Where are practices and games typically held?

Practices will be held at Ice Time Sports in Newburgh, NY and we intend to play in the Modified Hockey League that is hosted at Skylands Ice World in Stockholm, NJ.

Practices

When are practices and how often are they?

The OCW Modified team will practice 2-3 times per month with times and dates to be announced at a later date.

Games

How many games will they play? What days of the week?

The season will consist of a 10-game regular season plus playoffs. The Skylands Modified League has traditionally played games on Sunday evening. The game schedule will be posted as soon as its available and at that time every family should check it against their schedules and post their availability on the team app so Coaches can plan accordingly.

Are jerseys provided or are they purchased separately?

Jersey ordering information will be provided after tryouts.
