What aged players are appropriate for this program?

Players in grades 8 - 12 are eligible to be rostered on our Junior Varsity or Varsity coed teams. Players in grades 6 -7 are eligible to be practice players.

What time of the year does this program run?

Season begins with tryouts in September and generally runs through early March.

Where are practices and games typically held?

Practices and home games are held at Ice Time Sports Complex in Newburgh, NY. Away games take place at either McCann Ice Arena in Poughkeepsie, Ice Time Sports Complex in Newburgh or Kiwanis Ice Arena in Saugerties.

When are practices and how often are they?

Teams practice approximately twice a week. Practices consist of on ice and off ice activities. Practices take place at Ice Time Sports Complex in Newburgh, NY

How many games will they play? What days of the week?

The season consists of about 20 regular season games, followed by single elimination playoffs. Games have generally occurred on the weekends, but weekday games are possible.

Are jerseys provided or are they purchased separately?

Rostered players are required to purchase game uniforms. Game uniforms consist of two jerseys (home and away), two pairs of socks (home and away), and a shell. A link to purchase uniforms will be sent out to players with their offer letters. Players will receive a practice jersey as part of their tuition.

Will OCW be having any fundraisers during the season and what does the money raised go towards?

Yes! Players are expected to actively take place in various fundraisers held throughout the season. Fundraisers help pay for events like the End of Season Banquet.
